RC Ministries Support Group Chatroom Information:
We need to find a Chat Room where we can use video, audio, and text chat. We have several ways we can go but I am not sure any of these are the best we can find yet. Now please understand. I do not make a DIME in ministry what so ever and I have been disabled physically for 14 years. So I cannot afford to purchase a program right now, though I wish I could and if I can find one that is cheap on ebay or something I WILL if I can. However for now we need to find another way to hold our group support meetings.
SKYPE:
The first, and best idea so far is to use Skype. For those of you that have not heard of Skype it is a WONDERFUL tool I use ALL the time. It is literally an online phone. Now it is FREE to use, though you can ONLY talk to other people that have Skype with the free version. I have the paid version in which I pay some where around $7.95 every three months I think it is. With that I can call ANY WHERE in the US and Canada or Mexico. Not sure which because I have never called either.
With Skype, even the free version, we can do conferencing calls. However we cannot use the video on conferencing calls sadly. But it is fully audio and texting with good features. You can private text some one and all that. If you would like to get yourself a FREE Skype account let me know and add your email address and I will send you an invite. Now I do not get paid to do that but I may get credit or something if I refer a friend. Every little bit helps you know.
Even though there would be no video, this way WOULD be secure because NO one could get into the conversation unless I invited them and IF someone gets out of line, I can either mute them or boot them if needed. Although I hope that never has to happen.

You will be able to see and hear me and if you wish you can log-on and be heard as well OR you can just use the chat box to talk to us. There should be NO delays in the audio or video. The only draw back is I am not to sure I can make it so that only we are able to be there. I will check on that and see. I have yet to figure it all out so please bear with me on that.
Now if you know of a place where we can do private chat groups with video and IM's that is FREE and where ONLY members are able to come into the chat room, please let me know. I have been trying to find one and all that seems to be out there that I have found is either unsecure chat rooms where ANYONE can pop in at any second or porn trash and I will not have anything to do with that kind of a site any more.
Yahoo Messenger:
We COULD use Yahoo Messenger and do a conference call IF you have a Yahoo Messenger ID. I think MSN has one and possibly others. I will check those out and see how good they are.
One good thing is no one will come into the chatroom without my okay first. Do you have one of these services you have used and really like? If so, let me know and I will check it out.

Update on this Issue:
For now we can do it this way and I will try very hard to find a better fit for our groups. Please keep me informed if you find a good place for us to go. I would really like it best if I could take the code and put it on this website. I thought I had one but it turned out to go right back to the unsecure sight. We really do not want that.
