We are only here for NON-EMERGENCY times to help you by sharing our own life experiences and to be here to talk to during your time of need. We do not and will not ever give ANY kind of medical advice of ANY kind what so ever, so please do not ask. We recommend you do what you and your doctor have planned out in advance with your "Treatment Plan" and if something is not working properly, make sure you get in touch with your doctor right away and let them know what is going on so they can best treat you. Please read the Group Rules below for a better understand as to how this ministry works and what we do.
These guidelines are designed for the SAFETY and protection of ALL participants in the various groups we have here on this blog as well as ALL of the other functions we will be doing together.
1. Share the Air:
Everyone who wises to share should have an opportunity to do so. No ONE person should monopolize the conversation and group time. Let's be fair and give everyone a chance to share. Sometimes however, we do realize one person MAY desire or require help in a given area. They may become the groups focus for a time, this is OKAY.
2. One Person Speaks at a Time:
This is of course when we are all talking in the chatroom or on a group phone conference call. When we are on the phone chats and such the person speaking should be free to speak without interruption or side conversations.
3. What is Said/written Here STAYS HERE:
I CANNOT stress this one enough. No one is permitted to use ANY of this information outside of this blog sphere. This IS the essential principle of confidentiality, and MUST be respected by ALL. NO exceptions. Any one caught breaking this rule gets BOOTED! There is TO much at risk.
4. Differences of Opinion are O.K.:
We are ALL entitled to our point of view. No one should belittle another person because they disagree with something some one says. The word "Respect" needs to be remembered folks.
5. We are ALL Equal:
Cultural, linguistic, social and racial differences must be "respected" here as well. On that note as we stated clearly earlier this IS a "Christian" group and some may disagree with what we teach biblically.
6. Use the "I" Language:
You may not have ever heard any one tell you to "Use the "I" Language" before so you have NO idea what this means. Let me explain it to you. We do NOT participate in this support group or any other support group as a credentialed professional. We do NOT INSTRUCT or ADVISE, except on "Spiritual/Biblical" Matters. We however do share from our own experiences. We are all unique individuals, and ONLY we know what is best for our own health (along with our doctor's recommendations of course.) So, we use the "I" Language" like this: "In my experience, I have found....."
7. It IS Okay NOT to Share:
You do NOT have to share if you do not want to or do not feel like it. Others should NOT make you feel like you must share. If you decide not to share in the discussion, you should not and will not be penalized for that. I will NOT have a rule that says you MUST post every so often or I will delete your account. Unless we get to a place where we have to many people and some seem to no longer be coming by. If that happens I WILL contact you and give you a chance to tell me if you want to remain an active member or not.
8. It is EVERYONE'S responsibility to make this Support Blog group a SAFE place to share:
We respect confidentiality, treat others with respect at all times and treat each other with kindness as well as show compassion. Sometimes some one may say or do something that we either disagree with or it may be something we find totally off the wall. It is our duty to show that person the same respect and love we want to be shown. So, do NOT tell them they have lost their cookies and fallen off the carrot truck and smacked their heads really hard on the payment. NOT NICE!!! LOL
